RadMachine Adds Automated Dose Rate & Collimator Speed Analysis

Collision Check, part of the ClearCheck software, makes it easy to work with non-standard patient positions during dose plan verification
Potential collisions from non-standard patient positions add a layer of complexity to rad onc plan verification. You won’t run into them every time, but when you do, you don’t want to be slowed down.
ClearCheck radiation oncology software includes Collision Checks, which enable you to predict collisions for non-standard gantry positions.
With Collision Check, predict unwanted collisions for customizable LINAC gantry heads, electron cones, or SRS cones.
Collision checks enhance your radiation oncology treatment plan verification, acting as an additional means of review to ensure there are no collisions, even when using non-standard treatment positions. It’s even possible to use the application as a sandbox to test different gantry, couch, or collimator angles to avoid surprises.
Unique or unusual patient treatment setups add complexity and additional risk to your plan verification. These scenarios are often associated with configurations such as:
SRS/SBRT
Non-colinear setups
Reirradiation cases
Complex head and neck positioning
Use of accessories or add-on hardware
...and others
Collision risks with the gantry must be evaluated for patient and plan safety.
Collision Check automatically provides a virtual position check to help with position setup validation. In addition to detecting potential collision issues with the external body contour, the software is able to include bolus or support structures in the collision risk assessment even if not explicitly contoured, using a user-defined HU threshold.
ClearCheck allows you to visualize your gantry collisions with 3D Field View. See at-a-glance how your unique positions influence your plans, and quickly check your screen to determine whether you have unwanted collisions.

Enjoy detailed control of your tabletop location and settings for how ClearCheck handles collisions under your support structure.
The potential for collisions during treatment may be rare, but when it does occur, it adds calculation complexity to your plan verification.
With ClearCheck, you have access to built-in Collision Check, so you can quickly visualize how unique patient positions influence your dosimetry plans during validation. Customize the gantry style so you’re ready to handle even the most unique cases.
